Law graduate from UERJ (1993). He trained at the Rio de Janeiro State Public Defender's Office and at Lobo & Ibeas, working on tax and corporate matters, and was an assistant to his father, the criminal lawyer Antonio Evaristo de Moraes Filho.
He practises criminal law and has a background in sports justice, having presided over the Rio de Janeiro State Basketball Sports Court. He has held several positions at the Brazilian Bar and is a specialist in Compliance and Anti-Corruption Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas.
